PEKIN – State Representative Mark Luft (R-Pekin) will host a paper-shredding event for members of the public on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at his district office in the Sunset Plaza Shopping Center, 2964 Court Street in Pekin.
“These days you can never be too careful with identity thieves on the prowl for your personal information,” Luft said. “This free event will allow local residents to shred old papers such as bank statements, credit card bills, medical statements or other papers which contain personal information, keeping them safe from potential criminals.”
The event is free and open to the public. Those with questions should call Luft’s office at (309) 620-9191.
